My Background in Wildlife Biology Still Guides the Work

My background is in biological and environmental science. Before working inside attics and around rooflines, I spent time tracking wildlife, locating den sites, studying habitat use, collecting biological samples, and using radio telemetry to follow animal movement. That work taught me to pay attention to patterns. A sound above a bedroom can mean several things. Droppings near a wall do not tell the whole story by themselves. A damaged vent may be the entrance, or it may be one of several openings around the structure. I look at the evidence together. The species matters. So does the time of year, the condition of the building, nearby trees, water, food sources, and the route the animal may be using. Sometimes the most obvious sign is not the source of the problem.

Why Trust Suburban Wildlife Solutions?

There are situations where an animal needs to be removed. There are also situations where removal without repair or exclusion leaves the property open to the same problem. A raccoon may enter through a damaged roof vent. Once it is gone, the vent is still damaged. Mice may be caught indoors while gaps around pipes, siding, or utility lines remain open.

A bird nest can be cleared from a vent, but birds may return when the opening is still accessible the following spring. This is why Suburban Wildlife Solutions provides more than animal removal. Services include bat exclusion, bird removal, nuisance wildlife control, pest control, wildlife damage repair, and exclusion work for mice and rats.

The service depends on what I find. I do not assume every property needs the same type of work.

One House Can Be Very Different From the Next

Connecticut has old homes, newer developments, wooded lots, commercial buildings, wetlands, stone foundations, mature trees, and rooflines that have been repaired or changed over time. All of that affects wildlife activity. An older home may have openings created by settling, past repairs, or aging materials.

A newer home may still have gaps around vents, utility lines, siding, or roof transitions. A commercial property can have entirely different access points because of its size, height, equipment, and daily activity. Even houses on the same road can have different problems. One may have tree cover close to the roof. Another may have standing water or bird feeders nearby.

A third may have an opening left behind after previous construction. I inspect what is actually there. The recommendation comes after that.

What Happens During the Inspection Process

I want property owners to understand what I am seeing and why it matters. During an inspection, I look for animal evidence, possible entry points, damage, nesting areas, travel routes, and conditions around the property that may be contributing to the activity. I also explain what I can confirm and what may still be uncertain.

Wildlife work is not always as simple as spotting an animal and pointing to a hole. Activity can be hidden behind walls, above ceilings, inside vents, or in parts of a roofline that are difficult to see from below. When I make a recommendation, it is based on the evidence available at the property. I will also explain what the proposed work is intended to correct. That may involve removal, exclusion, repair, monitoring, pest control, or a combination of services.

Serving Homes and Businesses Across Connecticut

Connecticut places homes and wildlife close together. Wooded areas run behind neighborhoods. Wetlands sit near commercial properties. Rivers, parks, mature trees, and undeveloped land create natural travel routes between buildings. Seasonal changes matter too. Animals may look for nesting space, warmth, shelter, or food at different times of year. The type of activity a property owner notices in spring may be very different from what appears during colder months. Working throughout Connecticut has helped me recognize those patterns, but I still treat each property as its own case. Local knowledge is useful. The physical evidence at the site is what drives the recommendation.
